In 1869 he was farming in Winnemucca Valley, Nevada near Pyramid Lake and also ran a hotel and stable for freight teamsters on their first night stop out of Reno on the route North to Fort Bidwell.

Frank married Ermina G. Chapman, daughter of Asa Owen Chapman and Rebecca Jane Stewart, WFT Est 1866-1899.⁴¹ (Ermina G. Chapman was born on 26 Aug 1852 in New Cumberland, West Virginia ^42,41,43,44 and died WFT Est 1866-1946 ⁴¹.)
