The following written in 1968 by Mary Ann (Topper) Maxwell for Clint Maxwell:
"Your Grandmother is about 5'4" tall. Used to be rather heavy for her height, but has become thin in the last few years due to ill health. She is a home maker. She has been a good seamstress nearly all her life. She is seventy seven now and still does all her own sewing and still helps others, and sews for others."
Clara married Stephen Arthur Maxwell, son of Thomas Samuel Maxwell and Salla Jane Millican, on 21 Nov 1909.41 (Stephen Arthur Maxwell was born on 17 Dec 1889 in Boonville, Mississippi,41 died on 4 May 1957 in Wheeler, Texas 41 and was buried in Wheeler, Texas 42,41,43,44.)
