Alfred J. Rupright, 83
Memorial services will be Tuesday for Alfred J. Rupright, 83, of Warren, who died at 2:20 a.m. today at Markle Health Care Center.
Born Sept. 3, 1911 in Adams County, he was a son of Elton and Miriam Snider Rupright. His first marriage May 24, 1941 in McCordsville was to the former Mary Jane Carnes, who died Jan. 27, 1988. A second marriage to the former Marjorie Herr Huffman, who survives, took place Sep. 29, 1991 in Warren.
Mr. Rupright was a member of the Markle United Methodist Church, Ossian Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite of Fort Wayne.
A 1929 graduate of Ossian High School, he was an auto mechanic, having worked at the former Anderson Chevrolet in Markle and Moore Chevrolet in Bluffton.
Surviving, in addition to the wife, are two sons, William E. Rupright of Valdosta, GA, and Richard L. Rupright of Huntington; two stepsons, Ned Huffman of Warren, and James Huffman of Poneto; three step daughters, Marsha Walton of Warren, Sue Morgan of Fort Wayne and Mary Huffman of Bluffton; a sister, Mrs. Gerald (Martha) Feasby of Van Wert, Ohio; three grandchildren, nine step grandchildren and one step great grandchild.
The body will lie in state one hour prior to the 7 p.m. Tuesday memorial services, to be officiated by Rev. Timothy Dilley at the Markle United Methodist Church.
Private burial will be in Markle Cemetery.

Rupright Services Set
A memorial service for Alfred J. Rupright, 83, of Warren, who died at 2:20 a.m. Monday at Wells Community Hospital, will be held at 7 p.m. tonight at the Markle United Methodist Church. Friends may call one hour prior to the rites. Myers Funeral Home, Markle, is in charge of arrangements and memorials may be directed to the church.
