Funeral At Bluffton For Mrs. Zella Huffman
Mrs. Zella Huffman, 62, 129 East Washington street, Bluffton, mother of Paul huffman of this city, died about 1:30 p.m. Monday in Wells county hospital, Bluffton. She had been in failing health several years and seriously ill a week.
Mrs. Huffman was born in Clinton county. Survivors other than the son include the husband, Ward Huffman, principal of the Central school in Bluffton; four grandchildren; three brothers, Vern McCarty, Bluffton route one, James A. McCarty, Phoenix, Ariz., and Brooks McCarty, Bluffton; and two sisters, Mrs. L. A. Hummerickhouse, Bluffton, and Mrs. Edison Baumgartner, Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Huffman was a member of the American Legion auxillary, the Order of Eastern Star, and the Baptist church. She had lived since 1902 in Wells county and formerly operated a news stand in Bluffton.
Friends may call at the Thoma funeral home, Bluffton, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Marvin Hall officiating. The Order of Eastern Star will hold twilight services at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery, Warren.
