Elijah R. Huffman
Elijah R. Huffman, 77, died June 16 at Manatee Hospital, Bradenton, Florida. He resided at the Avon Air Court in that city, after retiring as an operator engineer for the Universal Atlas Cement Co., Hammond. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Hammond. Mr. Huffman was born in Lancaster Township on Nov. 26, 1893 to Jacob and Rose Ellen Minnich Huffman.
Surviving are his wife, Wava B. Huffman, two sons, Leon J. Huffman of Valparaiso and Robert Huffman of Highland and a sister, Mrs. Josie Heaston of North Manchester.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Bailey Mortuary with Rev. David Rowand of Central Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Cemetery.
Friends may call at the mortuary after 7 p.m. Monday.
