Hardman, Daniel Roscoe
Funeral services for Daniel Roscoe Hardman, fifty-five years old, farmer of Jackson township, Wells county, who died Sunday at the Bluffton hospital of self-inflicted wounds, will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Sugar Grove church with the Rev. Otho Winger of North Manchester and the Rev. D. B. Garber of Markle in charge. Burial will be at Woodlawn cemetery at Warren.
Mr. Hardman's death was caused by a bullet wound inflicted last Tuesday afternoon. The farmer, depressed by health and financial troubles shot himself in the head with a twenty-two calibre rifle. He never completely regained consciousness.
Mr. Hardman was born January 17, 1875, in Lancaster township. He was married March 3, 1898, to Josephin Huffman.
The widow and one daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Young, survive. A brother, Jesse Hardman, lives at Maryville, Calif., and sisters are Mrs. Clara Zook and Mrs. Grace Crull of Lancaster township.
Mr. Hardman was an elder in the Church of the Brethren.
