Myrtle Clampett Mumford, 78, died Saturday, November 28, 1998 in Abilene, Texas. Graveside services were held Monday, November 30 at Albany Cemetery in Albany, Texas with the Rev. John Tunnell officiating and under the direction of Godfrey-Neece Funeral Home.
Mrs. Mumford was born in Albany and was a homemaker. She worked as a clerk at the Hereford Motel for several years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Albany and was the widow of Frank Mumford. One grandchild preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Lester Andrews; one sister, Katherine McNary; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Lester Galbreath, Craig Andrews, Jimmy Williams, and Bill Reese.
