From: "Adventurers of Purse and Person": Deposed Aug 1697, he was aged 30. He was a member of the House of Burgesses from Henrico, 1696-97, 1699, and clerk of courts for Henrico, 1692-1707, and held 1506 acres in Henrico County, 1704. Acquired the plantation "Curles" through his marriage to Elizabeth Pleasants. His will (now lost) was proved 06 Nov 1721.
