bullet  General Notes:

Always wore a white apron even if it was soiled and had holes in it from the corn cob pipe which she loved to smoke. She believed it was the sign of a Lady. She may have been very out spoken. One of her nephews visited her in her last years and brought her some cotton yard goods for a new dress. She thanked him and asked why he had not gotten silk material, much to the embarrassment of others there at the time.
She liked to read, spent many last days poring over Jesse James' stories. Family legend has it that she loved her Nanny more than her mother, swiping Maple sugar cakes from the chest for Nanny who craved sweets.

A newspaper clipping was found in the bible of Granville Kindred Jr. who died in Denton, Texas which said "An aged resident dead, Mrs Millie Rigor died last Saturday in her home in Elkhorn Township, aged 90 years. Her maiden name was Kindred, a native of Fayetteville, KY, but has been a resident of this county many years. She leaves 6 children, five of this state, and 1 of Missouri. Leonard Rigor, a grandson of Merrit, Scott Co., IL attended the funeral.
