Everett Mendenhall Died Saturday Eve
Everett P. Mendenhall, 82, Mt. Zion, died at his home about 5 p.m. Saturday. He had been in failing health for several years.
The funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the H. Brown and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Elmer Engle officiating. Burial was in the Jones Cemetery in Wells County.
Mr. Mendenhall was a retired farmer. A lifelong resident of Wells County, he was a member of the South Liberty Christian Church.
He was born Dec. 30, 1899 in Liberty Township, Wells County to Eli and Mary C. Wagner Mendenhall. His marriage was on June 19, 1920 in Liberty Township, Wells County, to Lillian Cleo Minnich, who survives.
Other survivors include a son, Merlin A. Mendenhall, Yorktown; two brothers, William J. Mendenhall, route one, Poneto, and Iva Mendenhall, Angola; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Everett married Lillian Cleo Minnich, daughter of Jacob F. Minnich and Jennie E. Anderson, on 19 Jun 1920 in Wells County, Liberty Twp., IN.70 (Lillian Cleo Minnich was born on 5 Apr 1900 in Wells County, Bluffton, IN 70 and died on 9 Jan 1985 in Wells County, Bluffton, IN 70.)
