Lillian Mendenhall, 84, Dies; Services Saturday
A resident of rural Poneto, Mrs. Lillian Cleo Mendenhall, 84, died at 12:22 p.m. Wednesday at Wells Community Hospital where she had been admitted two hours earlier. Death followed a three-week illness.
Born April 5, 1900 in Liberty Twp., Wells County, she was a daughter of Jacob and Jennie Anderson Minnich. Her marriage June 19, 1920 in Liberty Twp., was to Everett Paul Mendenhall, who died Feb. 27, 1982
Mrs. Mendenhall was a member of South Liberty Christian Church.
Surviving are a son, Marlin A. Mendenhall of Yorktown, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Calling will be after 7 p.m. today at H. Brown and Son Funeral Home at Warren, where services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Elmer Ingle officiating.
Burial will be in Jones Cemetery.

Services for Lillian Cleo Mendenhall were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the H. Brown and Son Funeral Home, Warren, with Rev. Elmer Ingle officiating, assisted by Rev. Bill Carter.
Pallbearers were Dave Hicks, Bob Herendeen, Travis Sills, Barry Clark, David L. Hicks and Richard Hicks. Burial was in the Jones Cemetery, Wells County.

Decree Amended
An amended inheritance tax decree in circuit court for the estate of Cleo Mendenhall shows tax of $238.09 tax due from son Marlin Mendenhall on a share of $28,809.22 and tax of $10 from grandson Monte Mendenhall on a share of $3,000.

Lillian married Everett Paul Mendenhall, son of Eli Mendenhall and Mary Catherine Wagner, on 19 Jun 1920 in Wells County, Liberty Twp., IN.⁷⁰ (Everett Paul Mendenhall was born on 30 Dec 1899 in Wells County, Liberty Twp., IN ⁷⁰ and died on 27 Feb 1982 ⁷⁰.)
