Huntington - Bernice DeWitt, 68, 1302B Memorial Lane, Huntington died at 10:40 p.m. Wednesday at Huntington Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. DeWitt had been a resident of Huntington since 1953 and was a member of the First Brethren Church, Huntington.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence; three daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Joyce) Smith, Tuscumbis, Ala., Mrs. Scotty (Barbara) Huffman, Bippus, and Mrs. Harold (Alice) Waikel, Huntington; one son Clifford, Fort Wayne; one sister, Mrs. Robert (Ruthanna) Miller, Dayton, Ohio; seven grandchildren; five step grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Deal and Robbins Funeral Home, 338 E. Washington St., Huntington, with the Rev. James C. Vandermark officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory cemetery, Huntington County.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Bernice DeWitt
Bernice DeWitt, 68, 1302B Memorial Lane, died at 10:40 p.m. Wednesday (July 13, 1983) at Huntington Memorial Hospital.
She had lived in Huntington since 1953 and was a former resident of Arcola. She was a member of the First Brethren Church, State Street.
Mrs. DeWitt was born Dec. 27, 1914 in Elkhart County to Ellis and Mary Boyer Butterbaugh. Her marriage was on Nov. 14, 1933 in Fort Wayne to Clarence H. DeWitt, who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Joyce) Smith, Tuscumbis, Ala., Mrs. Scotty (Barbara) Huffman, Bippus, and Mrs. Harold (Alice) Waikel, Huntington; a son Clifford K. DeWitt, Fort Wayne; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Ruthanna) Miller, Dayton, Ohio; seven grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and three step-great grandchildren.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Deal and Robbins Funeral Home where services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, with Rev. James C. Vandermark officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Elbert Trainer, Howard Keplinger, June Walker, DeWayne Lusch, Jack Harris and Floyd Teusch. Burial was in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
