Services Set For Margaret M. Huffman, Retired Nurse
Funeral services will be held Thursday for Mrs. Margaret M. Huffman, 75, of 224 East Central Ave, who died at 1:30 p.m. Monday at her residence. Death was attributed to cancer and followed a five-year illness.
Born Oct. 13, 1915 in Francesville, she was a daughter of William Knox and Katherine E. Stiefenhoefer Lehman. Her marriage to Fred G. Huffman, who died Dec. 2, 1978 took place Sept. 16, 1953 in Star City.
Mrs. Huffman, a graduate of Grant Hospital School of Nursing in Columbus, Ohio, was a registered nurse and had worked at Wells Community Hospital, Meadowvale Care Center and West Haven Nursing Home. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a son, William F. Huffman of Bluffton; and two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Cords of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Lois L. Shafer of Tucson, Ariz.
Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Thoma-Rich Funeral Home, where services will be conducted by Rev. Daniel Steiner at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
Burial will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to the Wells Community Hospital Nurse's Scholarship.
