Mrs. Mary A. Huffman, 79, former resident of Huntington county, died at 5:30 p.m. Monday in Holy Cross hospital, Merrill, Wis. Death was caused by arterial sclerosos. She had been making her home with a son, Clyde Huffman, at Merrill when taken seriously ill.
Mrs. Huffman was born April 20, 1874, in Grant county to James and Nancy Jones Boxell. She married Isaac Franklin Huffman in November 1895. The husband died February 23, 1924. Mrs. Huffman made her home with her children after the death of her husband.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Fern Sills, Warren route three; Mrs Margaret Carey, Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Hazel Wappes, Churubusco; two sons Clifford Huffman, Detroit, Mich., and Clyde Huffman, Merrill, Wis.; 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, two brothers, Curtis Alvin Boxell, Zanesville, and William Boxell, Bluffton; a sister, Mrs. Sylvia Ditzler, California, and two half-sisters, Mrs. Dille Byall, Muskegon, Mich, and Mrs. Millie Banter, Hartford City.
Mrs. Huffman was a member of the Church of Christ at Uniontown.
The body was being returned Tuesday from the Schram mortuary at Merrill to the H. Brown and Son funeral home at Warren. Funeral plans were incomplete Tuesday and will be announced later.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary A. Huffman will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the H. Brown and Son funeral home, Warren, with the Rev. J. E. Lawshee officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery, Warren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary A. Huffman were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the H. Brown and Son funeral home, Warren, with the Rev. J. E. Lawshee, Sweetzer, officiating. Mrs. Nora Huffman and Mrs. Nell Foust sang and were accompanied on the piano by Miss Mary Wilhelm.
Pallbearers were Elmer Mossburg, Howard Clark, Herman McElhaney, Carl Hunnicutt, Buford Ruse and Harold Babcock.
Burial was in Woodlawn cemetery.
