Charles M. Huffman, 83, retired farmer of Huntington county, died at 7:30 a.m. Thursday at the Wells County hospital, Bluffton, after a sudden illness of the last two days.
Mr. Huffman was born September 2, 1869, to John and Sarah Payne Huffman in Huntington county. His father was a native of Jackson township, Wells county, and his mother a native of Huntington county. Both are deceased, and Mr. Huffman is the last of his family. He was married August 28, 1897, to Margaret Elizabeth Boxell, who died january 22, 1942.
Survivors are a son, Justus E. Huffman, Bluffton, and a daughter, Mrs. Claire Lieurance, Paulding road, Fort Wayne; a grandchild and three great grandchildren.
Mr. Huffman was a lifelong resident of Huntington county, except for the last six years when he has been at the homes of the son or daughter. He was at the home of the son when taken ill this week. He was a member of the Salamonie Church of the Brethern, Lancaster.
Funeral arrangements by the H. Brown and Son funeral home, Warren are incomplete, pending word from the daughter who is away from home on a vacation.

Huffman Funeral is set at 2 p.m. Sunday
Funeral services for Charles M. Huffman will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the H. Brown and Son funeral home, Warren with the Rev. J. E. Lawshee, Sweetzer, officiating. Burial will be in the Jones cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Friday.

Funeral services for Charles M. Huffman were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the H. Brown and Son funeral home, Warren, with the Rev. J. E. Lawshee officiating. Music was furnished by Miss Mary Wilhelm at the piano. Pallbearers were Jess Waite, Grover Poulson, Jake Boxell, Ira Baker, Vance Payne and Everett Lieurance. Burial was in Jones cemetery, Wells county.
