Jessee was drafted Nov. 18114 in Sevier County, Tennessee for a term of six months in War of 1812. He was a First Corporal in Captain Wilson Maples Third Regiment of Tennessee and was discharged in June 1815. he filed for bounty land in 1815. He was then living in Bradley County, Tennessee. He received 80 acres. His first wife Jeminah ??? had died and he he had married Mrs. Mildred Haggard (widow).
