Myrtle D. Huffman, Dies At Age Of 78
Mrs. Myrtle Dell Huffman, 78, widow of Frank C. Huffman, died at 6:25 p.m. Saturday at the Wells County Hospital following an illness of one week.
A resident of Wells County 60 years, Mrs. Huffman lived at 1503 West Lancaster St.
She was born in Allen County Sept. 6, 1884, a daughter of John and Nora Jane Sonner Byrd. Her marriage in 1902 was to Frank C. Huffman, whose death occurred in 1948.
Mrs. Huffman was a member of the Sugar Grove Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Jesse Sills of Bluffton and Mrs. Fred Park of Markle; one son, Russell Huffman of Bluffton; two sisters, Mrs. Harry King of Markle and Mrs. William Myers of Roanoke; one brother, Alva Byrd of Huntington; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Alton Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Elm Grove Cemetery.
