Thompson, Gertrude Huffman
Mrs. Gertrude Thompson, 82, a resident of the Methodist Memorial Home in Warren since November 1966, died at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday in the Wells Community Hospital, Bluffton. She had been ill for several months.
Mrs. Thompson was born Jan. 21, 1889 in Huntington County to Martin and Belle McElhaney Huffman and her marriage was on Dec. 21, 1910 to Marquis W. Thompson, who died Aug. 5, 1967.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Martha) Kriegbaum, Warren, and two grandchildren.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday in the Methodist Memorial Home Chapel, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, with Rev. Gail Davis officiating. Burial will be in the Thompson Cemetery.
Butler Funeral Home, Warren, is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were George Huffman, Richard Huffman, Phillip Huffman, Jon Irick, Elijah Thompson, and Herbert Bolinger. Burial was in the Thompson Cemetery, Warren. Butler Funeral Home, Warren, was in charge of arrangements.
Gertrude married Marquis "Mark" Winfred Thompson, son of Elijah Thompson and Lucy E.
